• SKC 에보닉 페록사이드 코리아 울산 공장, "30년간 무재해 지속"

  SKC 에보닉 페록사이드 코리아 울산 공장, "30년간 무재해 지속" SKC Evonik Peroxide Korea(SEPK) 울산 공장이 1993년 공장 가동을 시작으로 지난 2023년 12월 1일 기준 30년 동안 근로시간 손실 사고가 없었다고 밝혔다. 이번 기록 달성은 SEPK의 안정적인 운용 뿐만 아니라 생산량 3배 증설이라는 크고 다양한 프로젝트를 수행하며 이룬 성취이며, 노-사가 함께 안전제일 문화 확립을 지속적으로 실천해온 의미 있는 결실이라는 평가이다. 이번 30년 무재해 달성 기록은 글로벌 에보닉 Active Oxygens 사업부문 공장 20개의 지역 중에서도 최초 기록이라는 데에 그 의미를 더했다. 이에 SEPK 울산 공장에서는 30년 무재해 달성을 의미하는 Evonik Ruby Safety Award를 수상하여 이를 기념하는 자리를 마련하였고, 기념식은 에보닉 Active Oxygens 글로벌 사업부문장 Mr. Michael Traexler와 아시아 태평양 지역 사업부문장 Ms. Chinmaya Parekh가 방한하여 공장 내 임직원들과 함께 진행되었다. Mr. Michael Traexler는 “이번 30년 무재해 기록은 훌륭한 리더십과 구성원들의 노고에 의한 것임이 분명하다. 구성원들의 노고에 다시한번 감사의 인사를 전하며, 당부하고 싶은 부분은 안전은 축하나 강조되어야 하는 부분이 아닌 습관이라는 것이다. 우리는 이번 기록 달성에 만족하거나 방심하지 않을 것.”이라고 전했다. 또한 SEPK 최윤영 대표는 우리의 사업이 전반적으로 높은 수준의 안전을 유지하는데 지속적으로 기여할 것이며, 향후 5년간의 무재해 기록을 더해 35년 무재해를 의미하는 Evonik Diamond Safety Award 수상의 목표를 향해 계속해서 정진할 것이라고 말했으며, 이어 SEPK 이명률 공장장은 이번 30년 무재해 달성 기록을 새로운 출발점으로 여겨 지속적인 모범이 되기 위해 노력할 것이라고 밝혔다. SKC 에보닉 페록사이드 코리아는 독일계 특수화학기업 에보닉(Evonik)과 SK picglobal의 합작 회사이다.
